Mukti Fresh, a flagship initiative of the NGO Mukti, continues to boost sustainable agriculture and empower local farmers through its close partnership with Mukti Bio Village. In the month of March alone, the organization sourced a total of 3,800 kg of fresh vegetables directly from farmers, demonstrating a strong commitment to farm-to-table practices and rural livelihoods. Vegetables are procured from Mukti Bio Village three days a week, every week of the month. The Bio Village, a model of organic and sustainable farming practices, supplies not just vegetables but also other farm-fresh produce including eggs, poultry, dairy, and honey. In March, Mukti Fresh received: 3,800 kg of vegetables, including cucumber, amla, chilli, Pui Shak (Malabar spinach), green papaya (pepe), onion, potato, brinjal, pointed gourd, green banana, okra, coriander, olive leaves, and others. 2,700 eggs, 213 kg of chicken, 14 kg of organic honey. This initiative is not only providing consumers with safe, organic, and traceable food but also ensuring that local farmers receive fair compensation for their produce. By maintaining a steady and transparent supply chain, Mukti Fresh continues to bridge the gap between rural producers and urban consumer.
